INDIAN TOBACCO Lobelia inflata L. A smoking preparation was made from this plant. The smoke is known to be beneficial in treating asthma and earache, and may have been used by the Micmac for those purposes. I like to think that at one time it was used for ceremonial purposes. The plant is native to North America. It contains toxic properties and must be used with much caution.
